The Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers (MCCD) is a consortium of nonprofit affordable housing and economic development organizations and a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) serving the Twin Cities metropolitan area. For the past three decades, we have stewarded resources to support our mission: to work collectively to build strong and stable communities by leveraging resources for the development of people and places.

We invite you to support our mission by donating to our most recent initiative: the Forgivable Loan Fund. This fund has been created to swiftly aid small businesses confronted with unexpected hardships. The immediate assistance we can provide may be a deciding factor between closing their doors and continuing to grow their business. As Kari Tribble, the owner of Avari Beauty Salon and an MCCD loan client said, “My advisor at MCCD was amazing at guiding us all through the loan process so I could purchase my new building. The support that nonprofit organizations like MCCD and CDFIs provide minority-owned business owners is critically important to the ongoing journey of generational healing and cultural empowerment. When each of us rises, we all rise.”

All contributions will directly benefit our small-business clients while connecting you with organizations passionate about building a just and equitable economy, supporting our vital cultural and commercial corridors, and creating stronger communities. With your generous support, we can continue to engage our partner organizations, local business owners, and leaders in community economic development.
