Help MAS bring science learning to Minnesota students during Give to the Max Day 2022!

$7,350

raised by 34 people

$10,000 goal

MAS offers programs designed to engage Minnesota students in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) through hands-on activities and personal interactions with working scientists. From our innovative FORSE program, which serves BIPOC students from underserved schools, to our long-standing State Science Fair, which celebrates original student research, we seek to support STEM learning for all Minnesota students.

We need your help TODAY to bring students and scientists together - and expand STEM learning opportunities for Minnesota students. All donations from November 1-17 will be doubled though a generous matching grant from our Board of Directors!

Your gift can provide the following FREE resources and opportunities for students who need them:

  • $25 - science project materials for one student
  • $50 - supplies for a hands-on science activity in one class
  • $100 - State Science Fair student registration scholarship
  • $150 - State Science Bowl team registration scholarship

Our goal on Give to the Max Day 2022 is to raise at least $10,000 so we can:

  • Bring volunteers and science materials to two highly diverse schools;
  • Increase access to scholarships for 400 students at the State Science Fair;
  • Expand science and math learning beyond the classroom for 300 students through Science Bowl; and/or
  • Provide 10 summer STEM play days for elementary school students.

With your Give to the Max Day donation, you will receive a FREE ticket to our December Science Salon, a virtual program featuring Brett Arenz, director of the Plant Disease Clinic at the University of Minnesota! Make sure to enter your email at checkout to receive free access to this virtual tour.
