GTLI Children in Ethiopia 2022

We have been the only constant in the lives of seven special children in the South Omo Zone of Ethiopia. They continue to thrive, despite the odds they face, because of your support and the love and work of our dedicated staff.

We are making progress on our goals to bring the children together in Jinka and build a home where they can live. Many factors have slowed our building progress, but we are working toward completing it by late spring 2022.

Our budget for 2022 cares for the children in two locations (2 in Turmi and 5 in Jinka), including food, clothing, supplies, health care, caregivers as well as the funds to cover the remaining materials and labor required to complete building the house for all of them in Jinka. The pandemic and turmoil have resulted in an increase in material costs of more than 50% and a shortage of labor.
