In August 2014 I will ride my bicycle coast to coast across Canada, starting on August 2 in Vancouver, BC and finishing 30 days and 6000 km later in Halifax, NS. My goal in doing this is to raise $50,000 in support of Two Wheel View.
Two Wheel View is a not-for-profit organization that provides bicycle-centered educational programs for youth ages 11-17. TWV creates opportunities for young people to learn and practice lessons in leadership, health and wellness, self-esteem, achievement, and environmental stewardship. The mission of TWV is to educate young people on the environment and local culture of areas in North America and abroad through their participation in educational bicycle programs and expeditions.
100% of the funds donated to Two Wheel View via Going the Distance will be used to establish a perpetual scholarship fund to be awarded annually to deserving youth as means to participate in a Two Wheel View bicycle expedition program abroad.
