Give at Home MN- Gamehaven Scouts BSA

We hope that all our Scouts, families, alumni, and donors are all weathering this storm of Covid-19. We also want to share that Scouting is continuing to happen in the community. 

In late March our Scouting world changed, but that did not stop us. We have continued to move forward; Scouts are taking part in meetings,  and merit badges and Board of Reviews continue. Our first Eagle Scout Board of Review was done  via teleconferencing! We had a leaders roundtable meeting earlier this month with higher attendance than anyone can remember in recent history! Gamehaven has also offered their first merit badges on-line, with almost 40 Scouts completing the advancement.  We are not done yet! On May 2nd we will be participating in a National Camp-in. This will give our local Scouts the opportunity to see Scouts from all over the United States , engage in fun activities, while still keeping our social distance.   

During these trying times Scouting is still Scouting, our youth are able to persevere and continue to work toward what is important to them, and this is what our program is designed to instill in every Scout. That is why we are asking for your help! Since March, Covid-19 has impacted many of the things we do to support local Scouting in SE Minnesota. 

The Gamehaven Scout Reservation is currently closed, camporees and other events have been postponed or canceled, and major donors have suspended normal funding in order to fund relief efforts.  A donation to Gamehaven Council now will help make sure we can continue our mission and continue to support our Scouts and leaders here in our local community. Every little bit helps move us forward. We also understand that many families are impacted, which includes the families of our Scouts.
