Every year, Cleveland Neighborhood Association Participates in many ways to give back to the North Minneapolis Community.

Here is a list of things we accomplished in 2017 & 2018 :

1. Supported over 25 artists by giving them an opportunity to perform in front of a very large crowd and by sharing them on different forms of social media and print advertising through major local newspapers as well as radio.

2. Signed up and engaged over 1,000 people to sign them up and educate them about Organics Recycling.

3. Employed 19 youth and provided them an opportunity to become leaders in their community as well as provide them with an opportunity to make money.

4. Founded "Cycle Sisters" which is a group of predominately black and indigenous women who get together and ride bikes, as well as support local food businesses by spending money there and sharing them on social media.

5. Founded "Clean City Youth" which recruited 9 youth to pick up litter on the streets and storm water drains of  North Minneapolis. They attended field trips to Eureka Recycling plant, Mississippi Watershed Management Organization, 13 mile bike ride, and to Friends of the Mississippi.

6. Worked with 6 other Northside Organizations to collaborate around urban agriculture and establishing a network of businesses to provide locally grown and harvested produce and honey.

7. Reached 100% block Club Leadership and are now being studied by the U of M to see how Block Club Leadership and Crime relate.

8. Collected and donate 45 bikes to children in need!

14. Started a Home Renovation Loan Program so that residents can upgrade their home and fix major issues with 0-1% financing.

15. Hosted 4 Movie Nights for youth during the cold winter months

16. Gave away over 200 backpacks with school supplies to children in need!

17. Partnered with Folwell Neighborhood Association to host a Christmas party for over 40 families who were facing homelessness due to a Landlord having his rental license revoked by the city.

18. Partnered with Northside Neighborhood Council to host a Northside-wide meeting to gather information from residents on what they would like us to be focusing on with City funding.
