2023 YEAR END FUND DRIVE

The Historical Society’s fiscal year ends on November 30 and we are asking our members to make a year-end donation. Since the Clearwater County Historical Society is a non-profit 501-c-3 organization, your donation is tax deductible as allowed by law. Your donation will help us end the 2023 year “in the black,” and help us plan our budget going into 2024. 

How is our Society funded? Our funding comes from a variety of sources. Each year we receive an allocation from the County and we are very fortunate to receive donations from most of the townships within the county. Those two sources provide about 22% of our income for the year. 

Our membership provides the largest portion of our revenue, not only with membership dues but also with annual donations to cover our operating and special project costs. In the end, it comes down to your support to help us stay financially sound. 

We provide an educational (and fun) experience year-round for our visitors and members. We are actively collecting, recording and preserving the history of our county. In the collection at the museum we have historic photos and artifacts, plus family stories, even newspapers dating back 125 years! It’s our responsibility to make sure these things are preserved so your grandchildren and even their grandchildren can learn from them and gain an appreciation of our unique past.
