Food Shed Co-op

We did something remarkable together: we built and opened the Food Shed Co-op in 2024, a community-owned grocery in Woodstock, Illinois. Every day, this little store keeps more dollars local, supports nearby farmers and makers, and creates a shopping experience rooted in connection—not corporations.

Like many new small businesses, our early years are financially tight. We’re cutting costs, adjusting staffing, connecting with our community and growing sales, but we also need to strengthen our cash reserves to stay on track.
