The PTSA raises funds to support many opportunities for students and families at Folwell Elementary! We raise roughly $25,000 per year to enhance and enrich learning opportunities for all Folwell families. While the PTSA will work hard to offer many memorable fundraising events over the year, in lieu of a traditional door-to-door sales, we are asking our Folwell community to donate during the MN Give to the Max day as our Fall Fundraiser to help us raise enough funds to cover our budget.
Our Fall Fundraising Goal this year is $15,000!
This year a large percentage of all donation will go towards completing our playground project. If we reach our fundraising goals, the new playground equipment will be installed over the next summer.
In addition to the playground, here are just some examples of how your donations help at Folwell!
Health & Wellness $1,500 - Running Club, Morning Movers, Track & Field Days
Field Trips $3,200 - Arts & Culture Field Trips, Science & Social Studies Field Trips
Classroom Support $8,000- Teacher Classroom Funds for materials, supplies and rewards, Student Planners for 5th Graders, STEM Projects, Science Enrichment, Reading and Writing Curriculum materials, Math & Reading kits, Flexible seating and learning, Scholastic magazine subscriptions
Enrichment Opportunities for students $2,600 - Math Masters, Young Author Young Artist Conference Opportunities, Identity Day Boards, Science Fair Assistance, Falcon Tales Creative Writing Publication
Books $4,000- Diverse Books for classrooms, Books for the library, IRLA Books for classrooms
Technology $2,500 - iPads and other technology related items for student use
Family & Student Fun $4,000- Carnival, Family Bingo Night, Movie Nights, Family Tennis Night, ROCA Family Night, 5th Grade Recognition, All Pro Dad’s, Family & Parent Socials, Rockin Recess, Folwell Follies, Welcome Back Socials, Playground Reunions.
