GIVE TO THE MAX

Family Alternatives supports Minnesota children, teens, and caregivers navigating the foster care system — providing essential items, crisis support, and opportunities for youth to feel connected, seen, and valued. The need continues to grow, and youth in care face significant challenges: instability, trauma, and sudden transitions that often leave them without basic essentials or emotional support.

At the same time, kinship caregivers and foster families are stepping in with little notice and fewer resources, all while facing rising costs and limited funding. Despite these obstacles, our commitment remains firm: every child in foster care deserves joy, stability, and a sense of belonging.

This Give to the Max Day, we’re inviting our community to help us raise $10,000 —  to help us provide children and families emergency supplies, meaningful experiences, and steady support. Your gift helps provide things like:

  • Creating meaningful experiences such as movies, outings, and activities where youth can connect with peers who share similar experiences.

  • Support kinship caregivers who step in at a moment’s notice with immediate needs like a crib for a newborn, clothing for a toddler, or school supplies for a new student.

  • Lighten the load for foster and kinship families with essential materials, resources, and hands-on guidance.

Every gift turns challenging moments into opportunities for hope, joy, and belonging. By giving, you help children build friendships, confidence, and memories that last — while helping families provide stability and love during some of life’s most difficult transitions.

Help us make everyday life a little easier for families and a lot brighter for Minnesota children in foster care.
