"My brother had HIV. I say "had" because my brother died in 2017. If he had found the community fostered at Aliveness he may still be alive today. I want to make sure that every person living with HIV knows that they are not alone. That's why I believe in the mission at Aliveness." - Meg Joy
"People ask us all the time "What does Aliveness mean to us?" It's simple, Aliveness is where we fell in love. Not only did we fall in love with each other, but we fell in love with ourselves. Both of us are living with HIV and it was the community at Aliveness that taught us to live without shame because of our status. The Aliveness Project was where Moncies introduced himself to Joe; it was the Red Undie Run last year on World AIDS Day where we had our first actual conversation... and the rest is history. Love is Aliveness and Aliveness is Love" - Moncies & Joe
