We were so appreciative the Kaddatz Galleries for working with us to develop this program and securing grant funding from the Minnesota State Arts Board for initial startup costs and implementation for the first year. That grant funding is no longer available for this purpose, so we're seeking new options to support it. Your donation to PioneerCare Foundation will help continue active and meaningful arts programming for residents.
PioneerCare Foundation seeks donations to help sustain an artist workshop program that led older adults to discover their inner artist. For many participants, it taught them a new way to express themselves. Some experienced "aha" moments, boosting their self awareness and confidence in their creativity.
Here’s some background: Just before the pandemic began, we collaborated with the Kaddatz Galleries in Fergus Falls to begin an artist-in-residence program. The idea exciting: we will host an artist who will live in our Pioneer Pointe retirement living setting while leading art workshops with residents in our skilled care center, memory care setting, and apartment housing for older adults.
The big, overall goal is to provide creative opportunities and enrichment for residents while the teaching artist learns to lead individuals of varying interests and abilities. You can help it continue by donating today!
