Each year, HCIS provides students with immersive, hands on learning experiences through our Symposium programming- from outdoor adventures and environmental stewardship, to arts intensives, cultural exploration, community service, and skill building workshops led by local partners.
These courses are transformative, but they are also expensive to run.
This year, the total cost of delivering high-quality Symposium experiences is $113,000, covering:
Staff wages for additional course planning and instruction
The purchase of a new student transport vehicle to ensure safe, reliable travel for off campus experiences
Supplies and materials that allow students to fully participate
