Relief Fund for residents of Eastern Carver County affected by COVID-19

$12,295

raised by 69 people

$10,000 goal

The Victoria Lions are partnering with the "Carver County Resilience Team", a collaborative group of charities, School District 112, county services, and other service organizations in Carver County to identify those students, families, and charities in our area needing help. Working with this group,  we are putting together a plan and needs assessment to efficiently funnel funds and volunteers to the correct community resources.

Just a few of the immediate needs are:

  • Distance Learning-It’s looking less likely that schools will open up.  Most students in grades 1-12 have access to computers/Chromebooks through their schools.  Not all students, however, have access to the internet and that is an identified need.
  • School Lunches are being funded by State and Federal Governments now.  However, there is a need for meals outside of the normal lunch programs for students and families
  • Volunteers for transportation and warehousing for food banks
  • Temporary basic emergency needs.  Housing and Gas and Grocery store cards

If you are blessed with health and a consistent income, we are asking that at this time of extreme need that you recognize this as an opportunity to help.

The Victoria Lions will be matching the first $1,000 dollars donated to the fund!

GiveMN.0rg will be donating the proceeds of their portion of the processing fee, approximately 2%, as a rebate back to Minnesota organizations who receive donations on GiveMN.org during the months of March, April and May of 2020.

To make a donation via check to the COVID-19 Campaign, please send a check to:
