Update posted 2 years ago

We're excited to announce this year we are collaborating with author, Dawn Standera of Rewired, a book about Dawn's journey with a rare ependymoma.  Dawn asked for our help in bringing together the voices of other patients, their caregivers, and medical teams who research and treat these brilliantly beautiful souls.   A portion of your dollars will help cover expenses associated with the creation and publication of the yet titled book.  This new book will be sold through CERN, WalkTalkConnect and on Amazon.

Be sure to join us as we join Dawn in launching this new book at our Spring, 2022 Event!

WHO ARE WE?      WalkTalkConnect is non-profit 501 (C) (3) dedicated to building a “peer-to-peer” mentoring community that connects patients and caregivers facing the uniqImage Captionue challenges rare brain & spinal cord tumors present.

In “peer-to-peer” mentoring communities, patients and their families can openly share experiences, stories, recovery tips and support.

Through meet-up events, these families can feel less alone.  These interactions are vital to the physical, mental and emotional recovery process these families face.

Your dollars support programs and events for patients, caregivers and the medical community to connect, share and learn from one another to further the healing process after diagnosis, surgery and treatment.  Our close relationship with The Givens Brain Tumor Center and Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute allows us to connect with these patients and  families and provide supplemental support alongside their continued medical advancement.

With your help, we can provide the necessary support and resources for patients and caregivers facing a life of “new normal”.  With your help, these families can find peace of mind – together.

It's about the Power of Connection.
