We Need Your Support!

The Covid-19 pandemic continues to place an enormous strain on many and has put access to music education out of reach, especially of those in BIPOC and low-income communities. Chanson Voice & Music Academy’s Music Education (ME) Scholarship Fund was established to help provide music education to these communities who, for whatever reasons, are unable to make music education a priority.

We are asking for extra support now to continue to extend more opportunities for current and prospective students in communities who are facing hardships and who need our services now more than ever.

Honoring the Memory of Tatyana Schmid

The CVMA Music Education (ME) Scholarship Fund was originally created in honor and memory of CVMA student and friend, Tatyana Schmid, who was killed in a cycling accident on May 31, 2018. Mentored by CVMA founder, Diana Grasselli since the age of 14, Tatyana achieved many levels of expression through her music, songwriting, and sharing in her 28 years on earth. Tatyana was a world traveler, artist, photographer, writer, musician, athlete, and yogi who in her short life, helped many people with her unwavering kindness and commitment to connection through art, music, and cultural and spiritual exchange.

CVMA Mission:

We strongly believe that music has the power to bring people of all walks of life together and to foster healing. Music builds connections between us, strengthening our families and our communities. CVMA’s mission is to provide quality, inclusive, and affordable online and in-person instruction in the vocal and instrumental music arts to people of all ages, races, gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation. We also strive to provide affordable options for music instructors to have a safe and welcoming physical place to conduct lessons and tools to engage with their students.

Your generous support will help us honor Tatyana Schmid and bring the joy of music back within reach of students and communities in need.

Thank you!
