This fundraiser supports the Healing Forest project to train 15 area mental health/health care/recreational therapy/youth development providers who work with BIPOC youth and young adults. Cohort members will participate in the 125-hour Nature and Forest Therapy Guide certification through the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides and will receive a Medicine Forest backpack with tools, resources and materials to help connect youth to nature. The cohort will be facilitated by Project Get Outdoors and will support members throughout the year-long journey of becoming nature and forest therapy leaders in their communities.
