Impacting lives on the
South Shore since 2000

When you give to the South Shore Community Fund, you’re not just donating — you’re investing in the future of our communities. Formerly known as the Apostle Islands Chequamegon Bay Community Fund, we support local projects that strengthen the heart of the South Shore — from Ashland and Bayfield to Madeline Island and the tribal lands of the Red Cliff and Bad River Nations. Every gift makes a difference, because when our community thrives, we all thrive.

The South Shore Community Fund includes two locally focused funds that benefit the Apostle Islands Area and the Chequamegon Bay Area. Both are guided by a shared advisory committee and work together to strengthen the region. When you give, you’ll choose which fund—or both—you’d like to support. Your gift stays local and helps build a stronger, more connected South Shore.

If you’d like to support the entire South Shore region, without designating between the Chequamegon Bay or Apostle Islands areas, please send a check made out to "South Shore Community Fund" and mail it to Boreal Waters Community Foundation, 324 W. Superior St., Suite 700, Duluth, MN 55802.
