This year I'm helping to invite new people to contribute to the ministry of TCJHOP/Outpost. There are so many who regularly pray and give, but in order to do all the work before us, we need to bring more people into this community of support. God has used the ministry in my life, and I want others to find the hope and healing of Jesus as well.

How did God use TCJHOP/Outpost in my life? Twelve years ago, I found myself in the midst of a major depressive episode. As God walked me through and out of that valley, He led me to spend specific time each week in the prayer room at TCJHOP/Outpost. In that time, He revealed to me how my identity had become wrapped up in something other than being a child of God. God also revealed that my struggle with identity was not unique to me. All of us struggle with understanding who we are and what we are made for. The question we each have to eventually answer is “who gets to say who I am?” Do I listen to my feelings, my experiences, my successes, my failures, or other people? Or do I listen to the One who created me and loves me best?

Once I decided to listen more to God than to my own ideas, true and deep healing could really begin. And, the more time I spent listening to God’s voice through the Scriptures and through time in the prayer room, the more my heart and mind were healed of these false beliefs. As I found healing, I also discovered that I could share my story with others, inviting them into a similar walk of discipleship and healing.

Would you join with me in supporting TCJHOP/Outpost in their ministry work? Every gift and prayer matters, no matter how big or small. Together we can bring the hope and healing of Jesus to hurting people right here in our community.
