Diane Stoiber's 75th Birthday

Feeling Alive at 75! 🎉

Yes, friends — I will be turning 75 on March 19, 2026, and I truly feel blessed to be celebrating another year of life.

If you are considering a birthday gift for me, the one that would mean the most is a donation to Give Us Wings (GUW), an organization doing remarkable work in Uganda. What I love most about GUW is their focus on helping people help themselves — teaching skills, creating opportunity, and building long-term sustainability.

My daughter Janet first introduced me to Give Us Wings. In 2018, I became the sponsor of a young boy named Emmanuel, who was about 11 years old at the time. In 2019, I had the incredible opportunity to travel to Uganda with GUW, where I met Emmanuel at the boarding school he is able to attend because of sponsorship. I also visited his family in the slums and met people from several villages who shared how their lives had changed through co-op farming programs that GUW helped establish years earlier.

Some of you may remember that in 2021, for my 70th birthday, my children organized a Give Us Wings fundraiser to have a well dug in my honor. Water is life. That well is still providing clean water today to so many people who previously had none.

Today, Emmanuel is about 18 years old, doing well in school, and preparing for the next chapter. Continued support will help him attend technical school, giving him the skills he needs to find meaningful work and build a stable future.

I honestly cannot think of a better birthday gift than helping make life better for others through Give Us Wings.
