It is amazing the difference a year can make. Typically, at this time of year we would be finalizing the logistics for our 26th Annual Picnic & Walk. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this in-person event.

While it saddens us that we will not be able to host this annual celebration of our work, the reality is that the need for our essential phone resources has never been greater. The economic implications of the COVID-19 pandemic have forced many vulnerable people to give up their phones.

Today, we are asking for your support so we can continue to meet the immediate communication needs of our most vulnerable neighbors.  Your continued support will help us achieve the following goals:

-Maintain and grow capacity to support Community Voice mail and Lifeline cell phone users.
-Strengthen our relationships with our 320 Community Voice Mail partner agencies, ensuring that Community Voice Mail is readily accessible within their network of support.
-Send updated public service broadcasts to our 1,400 Community Voice Mail users, providing them with the latest information on the COVID-19 pandemic, the 2020 Census, and non-partisan voter information.
-Increase our walk-in office hours, allowing clients to drop-in and receive a free Community Voice Mail or Lifeline supported cell phone.

This has been an unprecedented year that we have all been experiencing!  Through it all, we are grateful for your continued support which enables us to provide homeless and low-income people the needed communication tools to succeed.  

Also, thanks to a generous donation from the Frey Family Foundation, all new donations and returning donations that are increased by 10% will be matched dollar for dollar!
