With the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), our LGBTQIA communities across the upper Midwest—especially communities of color and transgender communities—are facing extreme challenges maintaining health, employment, food stability, rent, and other basic necessities. Due to this increased need, PFund Foundation seeks to support the community with an COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund.
The COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund will provide immediate and long-term support for those must vulnerable. The Fund will be nimble and flexible, responding to urgent needs. LGBTQIA individuals, non-profit organizations, and small businesses from across Minnesota can access a streamlined application on our website.
We are asking for your generous support for micro grants to individuals, small businesses, and non-profits who are facing financial hardship in this challenging time.
We have received an initial grant from the Minnesota Disaster Recovery Fund, but in our first 24 hours we have received more than 50 applications for grants from people and organizations in need. And as the pandemic rages on, we anticipate more families will be affected.
Gifts of any size are greatly appreciated! PFund Foundation is committed to ensuring the greatest impact; therefore, all funds donated to the COVID-19 Rapid Response Fund will be disbursed to those in need.
