Supporting Seniors with Independence, Dignity & Choice
At Hamline Midway Elders, our purpose is simple yet powerful: to help older adults continue living in the comfort of their own homes—on their own terms. Since 2001, we've been a neighborhood-based nonprofit rooted in volunteerism and community leadership, dedicated to enhancing the lives of seniors in St. Paul.
What We Do
Our programs are designed to empower seniors by offering:
- Essential support services like transportation to appointments and errands, help with household chores, friendly visits and calls, caregiver resources, application assistance, referrals, and service coordination.
- Opportunities for connection and learning through monthly luncheons, wellness classes (including chair yoga and exercise), educational workshops (like Defensive Driving and Estate Planning), library events, and seasonal community gatherings.
With just four part-time staff members, we rely on the incredible dedication of over 150 volunteers who make our work possible and meaningful.
Help Us Share Thanksgiving Joy!
This Give to the Max Day, our goal is to raise $1,500 to provide a warm, chef-prepared Thanksgiving meal for seniors in our community.
For 23 years, Hamline Midway Elders has been a trusted source of support for older adults in the Hamline-Midway and Frogtown neighborhoods. From in-home assistance and
