Why give to the Damiano?

This is just one story of many:

Theresa has three kids. She and her children are staying with various friends while she is trying to find an apartment. She is balancing working part-time job, managing kid pick-ups/drop-offs at school, and finding reliable childcare during her shifts. All to keep her kids in school while staying safe & secure.

Theresa uses the Damiano for so many services to help her family stay safe and warm. They visit the Community Kitchen for hot meals, the kids play and eat in Kids’ Kitchen, they all get their clothes (and winter gear) in the Free Store, she utilizes Clothes That Work for professional attire, and they store their most valuable items in Safe Storage. 

Theresa and her kids are some of the many people in our community who need the services that Damiano Center provides, and that number is growing.

Your support over the past twelve months has helped the Community Kitchen serve 80,000 meals. The Free Store helped 25,000 people get free clothes. Community Services served 3,348 guests. Children visited Kids’ Kitchen 1,820 times for food & fun. And these numbers are just for three of the nine Damiano programs.
