At Hiawatha Academies, college access is not a moment; it’s a multi-year journey. Our students, the majority of whom are Latino, Black, and Indigenous, begin college exploration in 9th grade and receive individualized support through graduation and beyond. This campaign fuels that journey, from first campus visits to final college acceptances, and through alumni mentorship that continues into adulthood.
Last year, 100% of graduating seniors were accepted to a post-secondary program, and 1,086 students and alumni were served through our Hiawatha Through College (HTC) program. Our Summer Scholars have attended elite institutions like Yale, Brown, and the University of Minnesota, where they earn college credit and experience campus life firsthand.
Give today and help us build a district where college access is a system, not a privilege. Whether you’re funding one student’s application or launching a summit, your gift strengthens a pathway that’s already working and allows us to reach every student who needs it.

Why It Matters
Our students are first-generation, multilingual, and navigating systemic barriers. HTC provides early college seminars, career exploration through Xello, one-on-one college counseling, and postsecondary mentoring that continues for four years after graduation.
Your gift supports real students with real goals and helps us close the opportunity gap with sustained, high-touch support.
Be Part of Their Journey
