One Voice's theme this season is Protest Lines, and prepping for the concert has been a powerful, timely, and educative experience.
One Voice Mixed Chorus has been around since 1988, protesting both for and against things, in ways big and small. We need that now more than ever, and One Voice is not only ready to meet that challenge, we're excited for it.
One Voice is an incredible community; with Waigwa as our new artistic director and Jerome Evans as our even more brand-new executive director, I know we're gonna be getting out there and getting our hands dirty and forging new connections, making our voices heard, building a joyful, interconnected, diverse coalition.
Nothing gives me more joy than singing-- what can I say, I'm a showoff to my core-- and it's an incredible thing to sing with a group that's built around doing something real and important with that.
Like all the other nonprofits on Give to the Max Day, we require money to keep the lights on. Help One Voice continue making an impact on people's lives by donating what you can. Whether it's five bucks or a hundred; every little helps.
In gratitude and solidarity,
Barrett
