EMERGENCY VETERINARY CARE FUND

Our Emergency Veterinary Care Fund is used to offset costs of Emergency Veterinary care for impounded pets when the cost will exceed the amount that municipalities will pay under our contract agreements.   Most Cities will pay the first $300.00 for emergency vet care.  But  often times, this  only covers a diagnosis and care to stabilize an animal.

In order to save lives, we must pay the difference at the time care is delivered.   Because of generous public support, we have been able to save many animals that would have otherwise been euthanized.  We believe in saving every viable animal.  The Emergency Veterinary Care Fund helps us to save lives!

We also draw on this fund to provide emergency grants to elderly and low income families and individuals who are faced with a sudden Veterinary emergency.    Your generous donations will be used  to directly benefit animals in dire need of Veterinary care.

This is Rosebud - Rosebud was found in a rural area of Chisago County.  She was suffering from a prolapsed vulva.   This condition was preventable and curable before it became an emergency.  But Rosebud was dumped in the country like trash

We were able to get her into the Emergency Vet, get her stabilized and  did a pre=surgical consult with Mission Animal Hospital where she was admitted for Surgery.    We granted $1445.00 for her surgery.

Rosebud was placed into Rescue with Un-Break-A-Bull Pitbull Rescue of Minnesota.    She  made a full recovery from her surgery and has been placed with a wonderful foster home until she can be adopted into the loving forever home she deserves.   Rosebud is happy and healthy today because  of our Emergency Veterinary Care Fund
