Paul's Fundraiser for Family Tree Clinic

Imagine young Paul on the playground in 5th grade, when one of the other boys points out that none of the girls are outside. They had been asked to stay back and watch a movie, we hear. . . what could be going on? "Oh they are probably just learning about menstruation" I say. BLANK STARES ALL AROUND. This was one of my first opportunities to teach others about health. Having a Mom who is a nurse, and 5 older sisters, none of this was a mystery to me, but to the others it was! 

Thankfully kids (and adults) in the Twin Cities do not have to get their sexual and reproductive health education on the playground. The amazing educators at Family Tree Clinic hold classes on puberty, STIs, birth control, sexual orientation, sexual identity, healthy relationships, and consent. Over 15,000 people have been educated this year alone! 

I’m raising money for Family Tree Clinic, a nonprofit community clinic in Minneapolis dedicated to providing excellent and affordable reproductive, gender, and sexual health care and education for our communities.  The clinic serves patients from 23 states and we make sure that everyone can show up as their full selves! We provide a sliding scale model, but that is getting harder and harder due to budget cuts from the Federal government, and increasing costs. We need your support! 

It would mean a lot to me if you made a donation!  I have been on the Board at FTC for 7 years now, and am so proud to be a small part of their >50 year history serving our community. I am constantly impressed with the quality of care given, and the profound attention to patient satisfaction and comfort.
