National Center for Transgender Equality

The National Center for Transgender Equality advocates to change policies and society to increase understanding and acceptance of transgender people. In the nation’s capital and throughout the country, NCTE works to replace disrespect, discrimination, and violence with empathy, opportunity, and justice. 

It’s that time of year again.  Time to kick off Give OUT Day—the national day of giving for LGBTQ+ organizations.  We hope that you’ll join us throughout the month of May to support the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE) in our fight for trans rights. 

2024 will be the final year of NCTE... but we're not going anywhere! We are joining forces with the Transgender Legal Defense & Education Fund to double our impact in the fight for the rights of trans folks, forming a new organization: Advocates for Trans Equality (A4TE).  A4TE will bring together the two long-time champions for the trans community building on our successes, to boldly imagine a world where trans people live their lives joyfully and without barriers.
