SUPPORT OUR BELOVED YMCA CAMPS IN THIS TIME OF HEIGHTENED NEED

This summer's wildfire crisis has profoundly impacted our YMCA of the North camps and the life-changing wilderness, family, and overnight experiences they provide.

While our first priority has been ensuring the safety of campers and team members, the financial and operational effects of these events continue to unfold. Evacuations, shortened and canceled trips, hazardous air quality, unexpected transportation costs, equipment losses, and the uncertainty surrounding future programming have created immediate needs while reinforcing the importance of preparing our camps for the realities of future wildfire seasons.

The Northern Wildfires YMCA Camp Relief Efforts aim to bring our community together to support the camps that have shaped generations of adventurers.

Although Camp Widjiwagan, Camp Menogyn, Camp Warren, Camp Northern Lights, Camp Icaghowan, and Camp du Nord have experienced the most significant operational disruptions, evacuations, and equipment losses, every Y of the North camp has been affected.

Your donation today will help provide camp leaders with the flexible resources they need to respond in real time, address emerging needs, and strengthen the long-term resilience of these beloved places carrying extraordinary legacies.

Your generosity has a direct impact, ensuring our camps can continue providing safe, meaningful experiences for children and families, even in the face of unexpected challenges. Your gift helps:

  • Replace wilderness equipment and essential program supplies lost during emergency evacuations

  • Offset unexpected operational costs, including emergency transportation, temporary programming changes, revenue disruptions, and other critical expenses that help camps continue serving families safely

  • Invest in air quality monitoring, emergency communication systems, wildfire preparedness, and other essential safety enhancements

  • Strengthen camp facilities and infrastructure to improve resilience for future wildfire seasons

  • Provide flexible resources that allow camp leadership to respond quickly as new needs emerge

From our camp and adventure teams, participants, and community...THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
