For nearly 50 years, WomenVenture has been a driving force for economic empowerment, equipping women of all ages, backgrounds, and income levels with the tools to succeed through small business ownership. As the only women-focused CDFI in Minnesota and the sole Women’s Business Center in the Twin Cities, our programs are designed to be accessible and inclusive—because every woman deserves the opportunity to turn her vision into reality.

At WomenVenture, we are honored to walk alongside women, like Jeena Gurung Vomhof, founder of Namaste Brows & Boutique and a WomenVenture Training Client, who are redefining what entrepreneurship can look like—deeply rooted in identity, resilience, and community.

Namaste Brows and Boutique is more than a threading studio—it reflects Jeena’s lived experience. Born in Nepal and now a proud Minnesotan, Jeena founded her business to create a space where clients feel welcomed, seen, and celebrated for exactly who they are. From the threading chair to the handcrafted goods sourced from Nepali women artisans, every detail is intentional.

“This business was born out of one of the most difficult seasons of my life—as a mother rebuilding from the ground up,” Jeena shares. “Entrepreneurship became my pathway to freedom and self-worth. It gave me purpose at a time when I was rebuilding everything.”

That spirit of rebuilding is foundational to Jeena’s work. Growing up navigating societal expectations and later starting over in a new country, she channeled her journey into something powerful: a safe, welcoming space that celebrates authenticity and culture.

Her identity as a Nepali immigrant woman is not just part of her story—it is at the core of how she leads.

“I greet people with the warmth I grew up with. I offer products that honor where I came from. I want every client to feel like they belong here—not just for beauty services, but as part of a community.”

Jeena’s journey with WomenVenture began through networking and training programs, but the connection quickly became deeper.

“WomenVenture did not just give me business tools. They believed in me,” she says. “The connections I made early on gave me the confidence to show up and take space as a woman and as a business owner. I met powerful women with powerful stories—and we continue to uplift each other.”

In the past year alone, WomenVenture has:

  • Served 1,490 clients
  • Delivered 8,187 hours of training and business consulting
  • Disbursed over $1.58 million in small business loans to local entrepreneurs

These numbers represent more than statistics—they represent dreams realized, businesses launched, and communities strengthened. our gift makes this possible. When you invest in Jeena and other WomenVenture clients, you ensure that every woman has access to the resources and capital needed to thrive.
