Women's Foundation of Minnesota

The Women's Foundation of Minnesota is investing in a state where all women and girls have pathways to leadership, economic opportunity, safety, and health. 

Across Minnesota, women, girls, and gender-expansive people are caring for our communities, leading solutions, and powering our economy. Yet, nationwide, charitable giving to women and girls makes up just 2% of all giving. That just doesn't match the value that women bring as leaders of families and communities.

We can change that statistic together. When you make a gift to the Women's Foundation, you are supporting an ecosystem of research, advocacy, and grantmaking that has invested more than $60 million in Minnesota communities since 1983. As a statewide community foundation, WFM is in proximity to impacted communities and holds long-term, trust-based relationships, so we get funds out quickly and without restrictions, across gender equity & justice-centered groups in Minnesota.

We are the only organization with a holistic view of how Minnesota women and girls are faring because of our continuous research and listeningmore than 200 nonprofits sessions. We use this information to advocate for policies that help more women and girls.  Instead of donating to one organization, your donations to the Women's Foundation are combined with others to invest in more than 200 nonprofits annually to achieve maximum impact.
