When the Women's Foundation of Minnesota launched in 1983, we became the very first statewide women’s foundation in the country. Our founders imagined a Minnesota where all women and girls have access to opportunity, experience the world as a place of safety, and are valued as solution-builders and leaders within their communities.

Across Minnesota and beyond, women, girls, gender-expansive people, and families care for our communities and help to power our economy. Yet causes centering women and girls receive just 2% of charitable donations annually. That’s not enough for all of us to thrive.
