Women Candidate Development Coalition

A Coalition of 9 major Minnesota women's/feminist organizations committed to legal and economic rights for women and girls.

WCDC's mission is to provide the education and encouragement needed to empower progressive women to become actively involved in all aspects of Minnesota's pollitcal/governmental arenas, including running for office.  It works on the "front end" of the process to identify prospective women candidates and provide early training so they get their campaigns off to a sound start when they do run.  WCDC's program of activities was developed by women for women and is designed to overcome the political and cultural barriers women confront when they become candidates for public office.
