At Wolf Ridge, we believe that the best learning happens where nature teaches.

For more than 50 years, Wolf Ridge Environmental Learning Center has inspired students, educators, and families to connect deeply with the natural world. Located on 2,000 acres overlooking Lake Superior, Wolf Ridge is one of the nation’s premier residential environmental learning centers.

Each year, more than 10,000 students experience hands-on learning in forests, lakes, and wetland habitats that bring classroom lessons to life. Through outdoor education and immersive experiences, Wolf Ridge helps young people build curiosity, confidence, and care for the environment.

Our mission is to develop a citizenry with the knowledge, skills, motivation, and commitment to work together for a quality environment. By inspiring students to learn in and from nature, we’re shaping the next generation of environmental leaders and lifelong stewards.
