Wild Science Explorer participants are actively engaged in learning about the natural world around them by participating in BLM service projects, investigating stream ecology, studying geology and discussing natural resource issues while rafting on the Lower Salmon River.

Participants not only become curious about the natural world, but also become invested in protecting it.  Our participants challenge themselves on these trips and come back excited about all they've learned, the activities they tried, their new friends and the lifechanging experience of a multi-day river trip.

This year marks the fourth year of our Guide in Training program, which is a challenging leadership and job skills training program for select returning participants.  WSE guides in training work alongside our staff, helping teach leave no trace principles, lead service projects, and coordinate campfire activities. Our guide in training program is an incredible opportunity for these teens.

We hope you will support us in our effort to get kids on the river and provide them with a learning adventure that they would not otherwise get to have.

THANK YOU!
