Clubhouse moved into ourNorthern Lights House in November.  It is a program of Well Being Development.

OUR VISION is that all people living in our community are able to live their best lives. 

OUR MISSION is to be a place where members recovering from and living with mental illness and any kind of addiction work together toward well being. 

Clubhouse focuses on strengths and successes. At the heart of Clubhouse is structured meaningful activity.  We read and learn together, make art together, share meals, and support each other toward wellness.  Members and staff work side-by-side, as colleagues, in an atmosphere of mutual caring and respect, performing a wide variety of tasks necessary to the operation of the organization.  Anyone is welcome to join us in building meaningful community. 

The Clubhouse model is based on a philosophy containing four basic tenets:

• Everyone needs to feel connected to a community; thus the notion of membership is important.
• Everyone needs to know that s/he is expected someplace on a daily basis.
• Everyone needs to feel needed; that one’s presence is important to others.
• Everyone needs to believe there is at least one place on the planet where s/he is truly wanted.

We are working to build compassion and empathy because that is what we need, as human beings, to be in community with each other.
