OUR VISION is is that all people living in our community are able to live their best lives. 

Northern Lights Clubhouse, a program of Well Being Development, is a community of people recovering from and living with mental illness, working together to improve overall health and well being in our community. Our clubhouse is a healing and mentoring environment. The heart of the Northern Lights Clubhouse is structured meaningful activity which offers opportunities to pursue interests, engage with other members, and improve skills.  For example we have a book club, do Let's Make Together for cooking and art, we support each other toward wellness.  

The Clubhouse is a special place.  Participants are called members and the focus is on strengths and successes.  Members and staff work side-by-side, as colleagues, in an atmosphere of mutual caring and respect, performing a wide variety of tasks necessary to the operation of the organization.  Anyone is welcome to join us in building meaningful community. 

The Clubhouse model is based on a philosophy containing four basic tenets:

• Everyone needs to feel connected to a community; thus the notion of membership is important.
• Everyone needs to know that s/he is expected someplace on a daily basis.
• Everyone needs to feel needed; that one’s presence is important to others.
• Everyone needs to believe there is at least one place on the planet where s/he is truly wanted.
