White Bear Area Food Shelf’s (WBAFS) mission is to provide food and support to our neighbors in need. Since 1977, the WBAFS has become a qualified and trusted food safety-net organization supporting those who are experiencing food insecurity with healthy and culturally-connected food.
"The WBAFS means everything. I lost my job and it's looking like I won't be getting one anytime soon. I don't know what I'd do without this. Thank you again!" - Neighbor
Visits to food shelves across the state are at historic high levels and our community is no exception. More and more people are utilizing one or more of the White Bear Area Food Shelf programs to make ends meet and ensure their families are still eating healthy despite hard times. Currently, the Food Shelf averages 6,000 visitors/month but we are expecting that in increase!
"The food shelf relieves so much stress in my life. I don't have to choose between bills or food. It also allows me to actually have the ability to make and eat nutritional meals vs nutritionally lacking, unsatisfactory meals that are just the most cost efficient."— Neighbor
