White Bear Area Food Shelf’s (WBAFS) mission is to provide food and support to our neighbors in need. Since 1977, the WBAFS has become a qualified and trusted food safety-net organization supporting those who are experiencing food insecurity with healthy and culturally-connected food.
"The WBAFS means everything. I lost my job and it's looking like I won't be getting on anytime soon. I don't know what I'd do without this. Thank you again!" - neighbor
Visits to food shelves across the state are at historic high levels and our community is no exception. More and more people are utilizing one or more of the White Bear Area Food Shelf programs to make ends meet and ensure their families are still eating healthy despite hard times.
Food Shelf averages 5,600 visitors/month but in 2025 we are expecting that in increase to 6,700!
"The WBFS offers me the tranquility of knowing that if l don't have enough food, I can just show up and get help. That's priceless." - neighbor
Due to record-breaking demand, White Bear Area Food Shelf needs to raise 50% more donations than two years ago to keep up with the needs of our community.
Please join us in serving our community when it matters most.
