White Bear Area Food Shelf’s (WBAFS) mission is to provide food and support to our neighbors in need. Since 1977, the WBAFS has become a qualified and trusted food safety-net organization supporting those who are experiencing food insecurity with healthy and culturally-connected food.
Visits to food shelves across the state are at historic high levels and our community is no exception. More and more people are utilizing one or more of the White Bear Area Food Shelf programs to make ends meet and ensure their families are still eating healthy despite hard times. Currently, the food shelf receives 6,000 visitors each month.
"I appreciate how non-invasive it feels to visit here. The volunteers walking up to my car are always smiling, I feel welcomed and not judged for coming"— Neighbor
