The Wabasha Area Community Resource Center (WACRC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supplying and providing information for acquiring life's basic needs including clothing, food, shelter, socialization, and a safe and healthy environment for all. WACRC operates The Common Closet Thrift Store in downtown Wabasha, MN. Named the best Thrift Shop in Minnesota, The Common Closet is more than a store! This unique thrift shop serves multiple purposes and has become an important community outreach program.
The Common Closet serves as a facility that accepts donations of new and gently used clothing and household items. Donations are carefully evaluated for resale and are tagged at thrift-store prices. Children and adult clothing, home furnishings, books, toys and more can be found throughout our clean and organized shop. Profits ensure our long-term sustainability and help to further the mission of the WACRC. Since its founding, over $100,000 in community grants have been awarded to local and area projects that make life better for children and families experiencing hardships.
