 The importance of community...

Camp UniStar was delighted to welcome the first small community of campers back to the island in 2021, and broaden that reach in 2022. Although changes with COVID-19 were plenty, our community blossomed, unfolding each week with its special brand of magic.

In spite of challenges, volunteers and staff made improvements, enhanced the safety procedures, and created spaces to enhance the UniStar experience—including outdoor seating options so that we could continue to gather together.

Although we were able to successfully and safely operate camp this season, we continue to face a difficult financial situation where our expenses exceed our income. We rely primarily on camper fees to fund the expenses of running camp. This is more difficult when we are not at full attendance, and as costs rise.  We also want to keep fees manageable to help everyone who wants to experience the magic of Camp UniStar have the opportunity to do so without income barriers.

We ask you to consider supporting camp with a financial gift this year. With your support we will continue to grow and live into our vision…
