Formed in the fall of 2008, the TCGIS PTO is a natural outgrowth of the longstanding tradition of parent involvement at the Twin Cities German Immersion School. We are committed to strengthening the school community and supporting our teachers as they go about the critical work of educating our kids to became active and informed global citizens. Our PTO sponsors numerous community gatherings, undertakes fundraisers that draw people together, and brings value to our school. Donations to the PTO support the school in various ways, which in the past has included: classroom enrichment funds for teachers to cover project expenses; sponsorship of student life; hosting a wide variety of community events; and various furnishings for the school campus, like a picnic table for staff and playground equipment.
