Twin Cities Catalyst Music

Twin Cities Catalyst Music (Catalyst) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization with the mission to provide young people with equitable access to see, experience, and participate in the Twin Cities music community. Catalyst fulfills its mission through The Garage in Burnsville, their all ages (no 18+ or 21+ restrictions), community driven, locally supportive, alcohol-free, live music venue, recording studio, and educational facility.

The organization works to empower young people by providing them “their own spaces” to perform, participate in music education programs, learn valuable employment skills, partake in leadership opportunities, and engage with their local community.

In addition to live performances, the organization offers virtual and in-person free year-round music education programs focused on songwriting, performance, recording, videography, and music production.

Since 2015, Catalyst has presented over 500 live performances for a collective audience of more than 50,000 individuals while working with over 2,000 young aspiring artists through various free mentoring and performance opportunities.

All support raised will be used to keep shows coming, prices low, and provide high-quality, hands-on opportunities for young people.

Give to the Max day 2023

On this day of giving, support what matters most to you! Do you love our music scene in the Twin Cities? Did you discover your favorite band at The Garage? Maybe you played your first show on our stage? 

Many Minnesotan musicians and music lovers have fond memories at The Garage. To many, The Garage is the only venue that has always welcomed music fans of all ages (no 18+ or 21+ age restrictions) to participate in the great Minnesota music scene in a safe, substance-free space. Whether you’re a musician, a videographer, photographer, writer, or passionate music fan (who keep the scene alive!) we are always working to make the scene more accessible for you.

Youth are the future, and it’s no different in music, so why restrict who can participate in our scene? If our mission of providing young people equitable access and opportunities in the Twin Cities music community speaks to you, please consider donating to Twin Cities Catalyst Music this Give to the Max Day. All donations, until $1000 is reached, will be matched by a generous donor. So if you’re able to donate $5, $10 will impact your scene!

     2pm-5pm: 4 2-for-1 Skateville vouchers (Burnsville roller rink)

     5pm-8pm: $50 Electric Fetus gift card (Minneapolis record store)

     8pm-10pm: 2 tickets to a show of your choosing at The Garage (does not apply to sold-out shows)
