True North Goodwill

True North Goodwill is a nonprofit, 501c(3) organization with the mission of inspiring personal transformation through the power of learning and career development. We provide workforce development programs, jobs, and support services to help people achieve greater independence. Some of the most common challenges to employment include: living with a disability, criminal justice involvement, drug or alcohol use, stable housing, lack of work history or education, age, and lack of transportation or child care.

Our vision is that all people have the opportunity to obtain meaningful employment, strengthening communities and transforming lives for generations. Each year True North Goodwill serves over 600 people in our community across 29 counties in Northern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin.

Goodwill is 100% local and 100% nonprofit! We are a team of 250 employees in Northern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin across 29 counties whose work supports our mission of transforming lives for generations. We are headquartered in Duluth and operate 13 retail stores and donation centers. We keep over 3 million pounds of household items out of landfills each year through our recycling programs, including over 15,000 mattresses. Each year we provide career exploration, work readiness, and stabilization support services (MFIP, workforce re-entry) to over 300 people in Duluth, Superior, the Iron Range and beyond.
