The Hills Youth and Family Services offer a continuum of care for adolescents by providing quality programs that emphasize a strength-based, youth empowerment philosophy in a trauma informed care setting.

A child's journey at The Hills includes the pathway to our gardens, pastures, barns, and orchards where life lessons in tending the earth and caring for animals lay a foundation for healing, confidence, teamwork, and respect.

One of our most unique programs is Animal Husbandry. By caring for our animals--llamas, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, geese, and more, youth find a sense of calmness where they can focus on their behavioral, emotional and physical health while caring for animals who provide unconditional love and valuable life lessons. Our gardens are a place of respite, where youth learn to tend the earth, enjoy its rewards, and feel confident and empowered in their efforts. 

Our husbandry programs--animals, gardening, and 4-H--help youth:

• See that change is possible
• Embrace empowerment as a process and goal
