The Childrens Center

Donations will be used to help with bussing costs for field trips. It will also be used to help in purchasing program supplies and equipment

The Children's Center has been operating since 1969 in Albert Lea and the surrounding area. We provide preschool programming and childcare to children 6 weeks to kindergarten. We have a school age program serving children kindergarten through 4th grade. We also provide special programming to our preschool children including Spanish, science, and cooking curriculum. We serve roughly 200 children each year. We have had so many wonderful children over the years. Some of our best memories are when we take chldren on field trips. For many of our children it is the only time they leave the community or even utilize what's in our community. One of those moments happened last year when we took our students to a play in the Minneapolis area. One of the children was so excited he couldn't hardly sleep. He had to wear his tie and good shoes. After the play was over he told the teacher "this was the best day of my life". It is so wonderful for us to be able to provide children with many different experiences with many different people.
