Cultivating Awareness, Compassion, and Wisdom

We live at a time when, despite the promise of the internet and new technology, people around the world report feeling disconnected from themselves, each other, and the world altogether. This has led to ever-increasing levels of loneliness and anxiety and corresponding levels of substance abuse, depression, and violence. While the outer causes of these problems are extremely complex, distress of any kind is experienced in our minds. Meditation practice allows us to develop a mind that is clear, balanced and resilient. A clear and balanced mind is also one that is empathetically connected to others and inclined towards harmony and collective well-being.

Tergar offers online and in-person meditation instruction based on the teachings of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, a Tibetan monk and author of the bestselling book, The Joy of Living: Unlocking the Secret and Science of Happiness. Tergar Meditation Community cultivates and supports grassroots communities around the world and in multiple languages and supports a lifelong path toward the application of awareness, compassion, and wisdom in everyday life.
