THE TELLING PROJECT CONNECTS.

The Telling Project is a national performing arts non-profit which uses theater to deepen civilian understanding of the military experience and to help ease veterans' transition back into their community. We do this by providing veterans and military families a platform to share their own stories, in their own words, before a live audience. 

With less than one percent of the population serving in the Armed Forces in the last decade, Americans have become increasingly separated from the service and sacrifice of the military and the consequences of war. 

Since 2008, The Telling Project has given hundreds of veterans and military families a chance to share their stories and tens of thousands of civilians an opportunity to listen.

The Telling Project connects.  It creates personal relationships to global events, investing communities on a person-to-person level in the forces and ideas that define our lives.  The Telling Project closes the loop.  It connects ‘there,’ the immense, seemingly untouchable world out there, to ‘here’, the motions of day to day life.

Currently there are cities and towns all over the United States which would like to bring The Telling Project to their community but we don't have the resources to meet the demand.
