You keep the joy of music and dance moving forward!

Every week, Tapestry Folkdance Center fills with music, laughter, and the movement of people coming together. From our regular dances to special workshops and community celebrations, your support makes these moments possible for thousands each year.

This fall, we’re launching our year-end campaign to raise $65,000. Your generosity sustains programs, supports new outreach, and ensures our building remains a welcoming home for dance and music.

Did you know that admissions cover only 30% of Tapestry’s budget? Donations are an important piece of what keeps our doors open.

Though Tapestry is financially strong—with no debt, healthy reserves, and a clear plan for the future—the next few years bring tighter budgets as we face rising costs and invest intentionally in people, programs, and building care.

This campaign is essential:

• $65,000 helps meet our total $90,000 individual giving goal for FY25–26.
• Our budget includes a $17,000 cash deficit, which donor support can help close.
• We’re also laying groundwork for future projects such as a lobby remodel, solar installation, façade improvements, and a community mural - in addition to planning for larger building maintenance needs in the coming years. 

Together, we’ve accomplished so much. This year, programming and participation grew through outreach like our Dancing in the Park Series, and total revenue exceeded projections by 11%. A few unexpected building costs and rising utilities stretched expenses 15% beyond budget, but with a planned, manageable deficit of less than 4% of reserves for the 25-26 fiscal year, we’re positioned for sustainable growth.
