About Taiwan Online Library

Bridging Taiwan and America through Stories, Art, and Community

The Taiwan Online Library (TOLIB) connects the Taiwanese and American communities through books, films, and cultural events, keeping Taiwan’s stories alive in Minnesota. From lending books published in Taiwan to hosting the Taiwan Film Festival, Han Characters Festival, and music concerts, we share the warmth and creativity of Taiwan with everyone we meet.

Our Story – Keeping the Heart of Taiwan Alive in Minnesota

Between the lines of every book, in the rhythm of every melody, and through every film scene, there lies the feeling of home.

Taiwan Online Library began with a story of heritage—elders donated books from their homes to the founder, each one carrying memories of Taiwan and a longing for connection. What started as one person’s effort has grown into a community of passionate volunteers who share Taiwanese culture across Minnesota. From uploading the first batch of books and creating the online borrowing system, to hosting one cultural event after another, TOLIB has become a warm space for connection and cultural exchange.
