Synergy & Leadership Exchange is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering collaboration to advance the development of ethical citizens, providing educational resources, and celebrating achievement and best practices in Minnesota schools, businesses and communities.

Collaborate

• Minnesota Character Council - The role of the council is to advise, assist and advocate for programs and activities in Minnesota that promote and celebrate positive character and ethical leadership development. 
• Minnesota Academic League - Synergy & Leadership Exchange provides administrative support for the Minnesota Academic League Council, which reviews and approves programs and activities that meet the criteria to appear in the Reach for the Stars catalogue, as well as advocates for academic enrichment opportunities.

Educate

• Reach for the Stars - This free resource is for educators, families and students. The catalogue lists more than 130 academic enrichment programs and activities that have met the criteria for approval from the Minnesota Academic League Council. Reach for the Stars is created and published yearly as a public service by Synergy & Leadership Exchange, working in conjunction with the Minnesota Academic League Council.                                                        

Celebrate

• Character Recognition Awards - This is an annual event celebrating the statewide achievements of schools and organizations building character strengths and ethical leadership skills in its participants. Awards presented include the Minnesota Schools/Districts of Character, Minnesota Promising Practices, Minnesota Ethical Leadership Awards and Champion of Character. 

• Gathering of Champions - Each year Minnesota K–12 educators are invited to nominate students as Minnesota Academic All-Stars. The nomination criteria includes: 1) students who are consistent top academic performers; 2) students who have shown significant improvement in achievement or have overcome barriers to academic achievement; 3) or students who are local, regional or state champions in a Minnesota Academic League Council approved event. Nominated students and their families are then invited to a free recognition event hosted by Synergy & Leadership Exchange at the Mall of America the first Friday in August.

1. Create, publish and distribute the Reach for the Stars Catalogue for FREE to all K–12 Minnesota schools and families. 2023-24 Reach for the Star 
2. Celebrate and recognize K–12 student achievement in Minnesota. Gathering of Champions 
3. Celebrate and recognize the statewide achievements of schools and community programs in building character strengths and ethical leadership skills in young people and in improving school climate and culture. Character Recognition Awards
