The BlueGreen Alliance Foundation works to solve today’s climate and other environmental problems in ways that create and maintain quality jobs and build a clean, thriving, and equitable economy.  BGAF achieves its mission through research, education, communications, coalition building, and policy development.

The BlueGreen Alliance Foundation works with the BlueGreen Alliance—a national partnership that unites labor unions and environmental organizations around job-creating climate and environmental solutions—to achieve its mission by:

• Designing public policies, performing research, and running public education and advocacy campaigns to advocate for practical solutions;
• Facilitating dialogue between environmentalists, union members, and other stakeholders; and
• Educating America’s labor union members and environmentalists about the economic and environmental impacts of climate change and the job-creating opportunities of environmental protections.

Founded and headquartered in Minneapolis, the BlueGreen Alliance Foundation is guided by the principle that we can no longer choose between good jobs and a clean environment—the actions we take to create good-paying jobs and protect working people and the environment can and must go hand-in-hand. By collaborating, we have and will continue to achieve the great victories so desperately needed in the fight to save our planet and to build an economy that works for every Minnesotan.

We need to act on climate NOW. Reports from the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change tell us time is running dangerously short to solve the climate crisis.
